I’ve yet to find a bed that doesn’t look more impressive after a canopy conversion. For some odd reason we didn’t produce canopy beds in this country back in the 1800’s. But at Cathousebeds.com we convert close to 25% of all the beds we sell.
I want to thank our clients who were kind enough to send me the following photo of a matching set of twin beds that we converted to canopy for their recently restored historic Adirondack fishing lodge in upstate New York. I’ve gone ahead and included a photo of the bed as it appeared prior to the canopy conversion. As is the case in this instance, they have choosen not to use any fabric panels on the canopy poles. Leaving them bare allows more view of the dramatic wall coverings.
So when considering a bed………think about the possibility of a canopy conversion. Iron beds are dramatic to start out with…… add a canopy to an already dramatic piece, and you end up with a real “show stopper”.
Thank you again to my client for kindly sharing this photo of their beautiful bedroom.
