Well…….If you don’t recognize these three gentlemen, you’ve probably been living under a rock for the past 46 years. Thats when the first Star Wars movie was released and these three men……Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and George Lucas, became house hold names.
I’ve been fortunate to have sold all three of them antique iron beds, over the years. I don’t know if they had ever had any communication among themselves regarding our iron beds…….or if their patronage and buying beds was completely random from one and other. Their purchase did come years apart. We were fortunate to have had our “brick and mortar” stores located in Los Angeles, the center of the entertainment industry, and home to many of the people you see in front of the camera and behind it.
Privacy and discretion prevent me from elaborating on my dealings with all three gentlemen. But I can say they were all extremely nice, intelligent and affable. Over my close to 50 some years in the antique iron bed business, and having dealt with actually more celebrities than I can remember, I can say there are very very few that didn’t have the open personality you love meeting a person with.
You want a fun weekend……binge on all the Star Wars movies and then take a breath and do all the Raiders of The Lost Arch. There was a lot ove movie history made with those two series and the three men before you.
